Seriously, I had no clue how to upholster before I learned it from YouTube. And if I can do it, YOU can do it too!

So today I’m super excited to share in this video how I reupholstered our bedroom’s armchair.
And even though it’s not perfect, I’m SO in love with it, because I made it myself and no else in the whole world has a chair exactly like this one! Plus that floral fabric is EVERYTHING!

Supplies:

• Armchair
• Carpet tacks + magnetic hammer
• Tack lifter/ staple remover + plier
• Hot glue gun + sticks
• Stapler + staples
• Fabric in different textures

The Steps:

Step 1. Remove existing fabric without damaging it.

Step 2. Label each piece.

Step 3. Take pictures as you go, it’ll guide you put it back together in the correct order.

Step 4. Try the fabrics on the chair to make sure you’re happy with your choices.

Step 5. Cut the new fabric using the old pieces as templates.
Tip: Cut it bigger than the template

Step 6. Sew the fabric where needed.

Step 7. Put the fabric in place

Step 8. Secure it with staples and carpet tacks.
Tip: pull the fabric as much as you can.
