Do you have a small room in your home that you want to make it feel bigger, airier and happier?
If so, watch this quick video, and I’ll give you three colour tips to create a room that you’ll never want to leave!
Ready? Let’s get started!
Tip no 1. Keep the foundation light
By that I mean… flooring, ceiling, walls.
My go-to colours are whites or super light, fresh greys! And if you want to use wallpaper, make sure you choose one with a light colour background as will make your room feel fresh and airy.
Tip no 2. Keep bigger pieces of furniture in the same colour as your walls.
Because they will blend with the background, instead of standing out and give the illusion your space is bigger.
Tip no 3. Add a punch of joy with pops of happy colours.
I like to use more cool colours, like blues or greens, and then throw a touch of warm tones like pinks and yellows to warm up the room and make it feel playful.
Oh and always a splash of yellow to bring the sunshine in.
And pronto! You’ll have a bright, airy and happy room! Let’s recap?
- Keep the base light
- Keep walls and bigger pieces of furniture in the same colour
- Add a punch of joy with pops of happy colours.
So, just because the space is small, doesn’t mean it has to be boring. Right?!
