Let’s face it, we spend sooo much time at home..especially over the past few months! And I truly believe that we deserve to have a home that makes us feel happy, and fills us with joy when we walk through the door.
Let’s take a deep dive into which colours you should use to create your bring happiness to your home!
How to create an airy & light vibe
Most people want to feel relaxed when they walk into their homes. Like they can finally let out a deep breath and breathe after a long day! So, how do you do this? Well, look at using light colours. Think of whites, fresh greys and pastels. For accents, you can use neutrals and cool colours like blues or greens as they will add some pop to your space without overwhelming you. Remember to avoid warm colours like reds or yellows as they will overpower the airy and light feeling that you are looking for.
How to create a joyful space
Joyful and happy spaces are SOOOO much fun to design, I just love doing them! I would recommend keeping ceilings, walls and large furniture light. You can then add in small doses of warm colours on pillows, curtains and any other accessories. Think orange, yellow and pink. They will lift the mood of your room in a heartbeat, and bring a huuuuuge smile to your face!
How to create a cosy space
I love walking into a room and feeling like its hugging you! And you know what? They are super easy to create, so you don’t need to stress out! Keep your walls, ceilings or large pieces of furniture dark. But remember, you don’t want to make the room feel too small. So if you have low ceilings, keep them light otherwise cosy will soon turn to dingy and tiny! Use warm colours like reds, yellows and oranges and think of adding wood to warm your room up even further.
