The ridiculously-easy way to put a colour scheme together for your home. #homedecortips #colourtips #howtousecolourinyourhome #decotaringwithcolour
Do you ever feel like you know you’re not plain vanilla, but that’s EXACTLY what your home says about you?
I mean, you play safe by decorating with neutral colours – that you don’t even like!
And then, your home doesn’t feel like the REAL you?
I get it!
I get it because I used to feel like this too, but not anymore!
And today I’m showing you the incredibly-easy three steps that I use every time I’m designing so you too can start sprinkling more of YOU into your home!

Step 1. Decide how you want your room to feel and then pick colours that evoke those feelings
This is super important, always start like this!
For example, for our living room, we wanted it to feel fresh, cosy, inspiring and happy.
So went for greens, pinks, whites and a touch of yellow.
Step 2. Pick a hero pattern that contains the colours that you chose in step 1.
This is the foundation to start putting your scheme together.
The hero can be a wallpaper, a wall art, some fabric or a cushion, for example.
And step 3. Start picking the colours from the hero and sprinkling them around your room.
And don’t forget to add different textures too, as they’ll make your space feel cosier.
Let’s see how it comes together?
We have whites:
